Novartis Hellas S.A.C.I. officials confessed that they bribed Greeks in the public health sector in Greece.

Novartis Hellas S.A.C.I. based in Athens (a subsidiary of the Swiss Novartis AG), after the confession of bribes made to Greek government officials and public hospital doctors, agreed to pay a total of more than $ 578,000,000 in combination to resolve criminal cases against US FCPA legislation

In the same case involved with Novartis Hellas S.A.C.I. is Alcon Pte Ltd where they jointly agree to pay more than $ 578,000,000 in conjunction with resolving FCPA issues with the US government.

With this agreement, between the US Department of Justice and Novartis Hellas S.A.C.I. avoided the imprisonment of the company’s officials in the United States for bribery in Greece FCPA related crimes, and only pay a fine.
